DX System
With its ability to eliminate most ductwork and piping, the direct expansion system in HVAC has grown rapidly. This system is popular because the installation process has been simplified, lowering the overall cost of the system.
The DX System is designed in a way that the evaporator is located in the refrigerated space. When the refrigerant in the evaporator coil expands, it absorbs heat from the space and cools it. Such systems include mini-splits, window air conditioners, and packaged units.
